Founded in 2002 by two brothers, Lion Jeans began in a small garage, built on their experience in the world of denim and the determination to turn their knowledge into something greater.
Over Two Decades of Passion and Progress
Founded in 2002 by Jorge and Carlos Mandim in Barcelos, in the heart of Portugal’s northern textile industry, Lion Jeans was born with a clear focus: denim.
From its humble beginnings in a small garage, the company quickly grew, realizing that a larger space would be necessary to develop the ambitious project envisioned by its founders. Today, Lion Jeans offers a full-service approach to denim development and production, from pattern-making to finishing, exporting approximately 90% of its production to markets such as Germany, the UK, and Norway.
With over two decades of experience, the company combines technical expertise, rigor, and a distinctive attitude, while maintaining close and trusted relationships with the brands it serves.
